We leave Örnsköldsvik and head south.

Skuleskogen is a well-known area, which was once the lair of robbers who filled travellers with fear, but is now a safe and secure place. The mighty Skuleberget, rising 295 metres above sea level, is also the symbol of the High Coast World Heri-tage site and the land elevation along the coast.

Mjälloms Tunnbröd - guided tours and tasting sessions at this genuine High Coast flatbread bakery.

Mannaminne is a museum village created by the artist Anders Åberg. The group gathers here for information about everything that can be seen at Man-naminne.

Lunch - we eat lunch here at the inn.

Norrfällsviken lies in the outermost archipelago. This coastal region has a barren landscape, shaped by the sea and ice over thousands of years. We stroll for a while here among the expanses of rocky rubble, locally known as "the devil's fields", formed by the continual elevation of the land along the High Coast.

Afternoon coffee or tea at Fiskarfänget restaurant. The old fishing village in Norrfällsviken still retains its charm. We enjoy a stroll along the village street between the small houses and fishing huts that have now been converted into summer homes.

The High Coast Bridge's huge anchorage rooms are 37 metres down in the rock bed and we get to these by wandering down the more than one hundred metre long tunnel. This is where the movements of the rock mass are monitored using strain sensors. We drive across the 1800 metre long bridge.
